California Privacy Rights

overview 1: basics

As of January 1, 2020, the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) provides California consumers (California residents) with certain rights regarding their personal information (“PI”). This page describes your CCPA rights and explains how to exercise those rights subject to our verification process. Note that this law applies only to California residents.

L2 Political (“L2”) provides services in furtherance of political speech that is protected under the United States and California Constitutions. The CCPA covers the part of L2’s business that is not protected by the United States and California constitutional protections for protected speech. The CCPA gives you certain rights in regard to the use of your PI for business purposes excluding those related to constitutionally-protected speech such as political speech. You can read the CCPA statute here. L2 has also prepared a simple QA document to answer some of the most commonly asked questions regarding the CCPA. That document can be reviewed here. Finally, you may view L2’s general privacy policy document here.

Should you wish to exercise your CCPA rights, please submit the information requested below that will be used to verify your identity as required by the CCPA. Note that L2 voluntarily provides some of the non PI-specific information without the need for verification of your identity.
